S.P.E.A.K. Up

I have decided to change my independent component to an event to support Autism Speaks. My goal is to donate $1,000.00 by primarily selling puzzle pieces for $1 each. Since the component is due February 1, I know I can reach my goal. The proceeds will go to Autism Speaks Inc. For a culminating event for the independent component, my team and I will coordinate a walk open to any all supporters of ASD. It will be entitled S.P.E.A.K. Up & Walk 4 Autism.

The reason I chose this for my IC is because psychiatrists are constantly promoting awareness whether it be through papers, attending conferences, or serving on a committee board such as the Autism Society. Well, since I am not qualified to any other those, I figured this is the best way for me to raise awareness for ASD and the people dealing with it.
