Treatment Legend Guidelines Flyer
Log:
Explanation:
For my second independent component, I furthered my understand of my third answer: create a fun, sensory-friendly, and treatment-based environment. Aside from the knowledge I knew already, I learned about hyper and hypo sensitivities and how to incorporate treatment into a fun activity. I did so through writing a report on hyper and hypo sensitivity as well as how treatment was incorporated. I was able to do a hands-on application of this knowledge by creating my own board game following specific criteria as outlined here.
INTERPRETIVE
The process of creating this game was long and required much thought. I created several plans, made multiple modifications, spent hours creating the materials for the game, and writing an in-depth report.

APPLIED
This component aided my understanding of my third answer in that it helped my research. I learned what hyper and hypo sensitivity was, how difficult it is to incorporate treatment seamlessly, the difference between fine and gross motor, why it is important for the child to have fun activities to do, and exposed me to companies that manufacture toys to create the desired environment.
